Biography
Rima Saad, PhD, is a clinical psychologist trained in the McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School system. She has held multiple clinical and administrative roles in The Pavilion at McLean since its inception in 1999. Dr. Saad has extensive experience working in different models of individual psychotherapy. In her Pavilion role, she sees people in intensive individual psychotherapy, and also provides in-depth couples and family consultations.
As director of Group Therapy Services at The Pavilion, Dr. Saad oversees the group program. She has led a variety of psychotherapy groups throughout her career, including behaviorally oriented groups (CBT, DBT, ACT), along with semi-structured self-assessment groups and interpersonally focused process groups. Dr. Saad also supervises and mentors psychology interns, post-doctoral fellows, and psychiatry residents. She has developed training opportunities that focus on group process and dynamics. In her private practice, Dr. Saad works with adults, couples, and families. She is currently a candidate at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute.
