Biography
Jesse D. Kosiba, PhD, earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Syracuse University. He completed pre-doctoral training at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and a post-doctoral fellowship in psychology for the treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions at McLean Hospital. He joined the staff at Fernside in 2021. Dr. Kosiba also serves as an instructor in psychology in the Department of Psychiatry, part-time, at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Kosiba has over a decade of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions (dual diagnosis). He specializes in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) with an emphasis on exposure-based treatments when indicated. Dr. Kosiba’s research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented on topics related to substance use, anxiety, and behavioral medicine.
